Hi, I am Karen. Welcome to Fina + Gemma.

I am an "accidental" stay-at-home-mom in San Francisco Bay Area with a background in Marketing. My life changed completely after our daughter, Fina (short for Serafina) was born. One day the universe heard my longing for excitements loud and clear and "granted" me an unorthodox experience  = A BROKEN TOE!

Immobile with a toddler at home, I started an instagram account @finaandgemma to document our love for children's books #finatasticreads. Slowly in the midst of it all I find a new me, my love for motherhood, my shopping addiction (mostly in the library), and the joy in exploring the Bay Area and beyond with Fina.
